Cold Spring Harbor Lighthouse was built in 1890, and has
been inactive since it was abandoned by the U.S. Coast Guard and moved to the lawn of a
private residence in 1965. The lighthouse consisted of a 35 ft square frame tower
originally mounted on a concrete caisson.
